Also featured in What If?, Hersrud exhibited String Quartet, a series of four plotter-based monoprints (38 × 46 cm each, Strathmore Bristol paper, yellow permanent marker, and black ballpoint pen). Like Orbital Frequencies, this body of work was developed through live “plotter performance,” using the mechanical act of drawing as both a sonic and visual process.
