Spaceship Earth.

Two large format prints to be displayed sequentially to form one long horizontal scrolling surreal landscape from a satellite perspective.

The original digital artwork is composed of over 100 layers of collaged images sourced from various topographical maps and nautical charts. The collection of physical maps were originally sourced from the Michigan State University library, scanned at high resolutions, digitally manipulated and remixed into new visual vocabularies.
The work was in response to Buckminster Fuller’s book ‘I Seem To Be A Verb’. Two influential quotes are listed below:

“I live on Earth at the present, and I don't know what I am. I know that I am not a category. I am not a thing - a noun. I seem to be a verb, an evolutionary process - an integral function of the universe.”

“We are waking from the American Dream to realize it was a dream few Americans liv
ed in their waking hours.”

Approximately 36 x 72 inch Giclee print on Epson archival semi-gloss paper.
