Spaceship Earth.
Two large horizontal images for a wall installation are composed of over 100 layers of scanned collaged details from an archive of topographical maps. The digital dyptic is intended to evoke a surreal landscape from a satellite perspective and draw inspirations from the book I Seem To Be a Verb by Buckminster Fuller. The quotes were written by me and read “remixing maps in an attempt to alter the course of the future” and “remixing maps in an attempt to displace the past”.
